"Dad,Im not so sure about this.I mean, you've been working on translating that coffin for weeks now, maybe you should just..give it a rest and let it be a mystey..",the young girl said as she walked beside her father as he shook his head with a smile.
"Nonsense, that nothing but stinking thinking...",Mr.Lancer said calmly with a smile as he straightend his glasses from the tip of his nose, all the way back to his eyes as he looked back at his daughter.
Terra sighed as she shook her head as she continued to follow her father through the rows and rows of books.Due to the fact that her father was the one to run the museum, and the one to have found the coffin of death, she believed it was her duty to make sure to be there the most, not only to protect the world,but..her father as well."But you haven't even read a single word of it..how do you know if you even can?'
It was then that David Lancer looked back at his daughter and gently took her hand as he led to her an isolated row in the library."Terra,if I tell you the reason why Im working so hard now, will you promise not to tell anyone? Not even your mother?"
Terra was alittle shocked and surprised by this as she heard her father speak these words. In all her life, she had never heard him say anything about keeping secrets, for one thing,he didn't allow it.Everyone in the family was taught to be completely honest and that secrets should not be needed. But she was sure that he knew that she, and her older brother and sister held some of there lives events to themselves. It was typical for teenagers to do so,but for him to ask this of her was rather new,but she agreed as she nodded towards him as he spoke.
"Sometime during this week, one of my co workers stumbled upon a link inbetween the language and we were able to translate two words,Destruction.. and Chaos. Now,if Im right about this, its possible that the coffin is telling the story of an event that happened long ago...",the man said with an excited expression as Terra smiled at him and then blinked.
"Ok,thats great..but why don't you want me to tell mom or anyone else?",the girl asked as she crossed her amrs over her chest as she smirked at her father.Mr.Lancer laughed as he saw her expression and then poked her gently on the nose."Because,if your mother found out that I was overworking again, she'd lock me in our room and I would not see that coffin for a good month.."
Terra giggled at this as she rubbed her nose gently and grinned at him."Alright,I won't..but then, what are you looking for now?",she asked as she wanted to know anything else her father could tell her.
"Well, thats the thing,I don't know..I need to look up th history of that coffin. You on the other hand, need to study for your test in history..",the typical dad said as he smirked back at her as he gently pushed her towards one of the desk."Get to work...remember..to..
"Always look for the facts...I know..",the girl said with a mocking tone that sounded like her father as he laughed softly and then began his research.
"Dad doesn't know what the rest of that thing said, its not of a past event, but a possible one..",Terra thought to herself as Kumamon appeared at her side.
"Ok,so your old man got lucky;Im sure that there will be no possibel way for him or anyone else to figure out the rest of it..",the bear said as he looked at her with a calm expression.
"One problem,my dad is never lucky, nor does he give up on something intill he finishes it..",Terra said softly to the digimon warrior as she noticed a librarian looking at her with a stern expression. The teen then picked up her book and began to read about the history of japan..
