Name: Ishiki Musouka
Age: 17
Birthday: August 2
Gender: Male
Family:
Ishiki Musouka still lives at home with his mother and father, like most any high school student, raised in Shibuya, Japan. He gets along fairly well with them, not the rebellious sort so likely a little above average when compared with his peers. He also has a younger sister who is at ten years of age. She’s the only one, out of all his friends and family, who believes in his dreams about digimon as strongly as he does. That’s probably why he has such a close bond to her and excels at being a great older brother.
Appearance:
Personality:
Ishiki Musouka is a very laid-back individual. One of his most commonly utilized sayings is the word “Momentai”, a Cantonese phrase meaning “take it easy” or “not a problem”. He’s content to spend the hours of the day napping and daydreaming, because that’s when he gets to experience glimpses of the digital world and its inhabitants. When he’s not snoozing, he’s often doodling in his notebooks, drawing the various creatures he’s envisioned since his early childhood so much that he’s become quite the talented artist. A lot of people think he’s crazy when they realize he genuinely thinks his dreams are real, others ignore them as eccentric quirks, and still others find them a unique part of his personality that makes him intriguing and, to some of the ladies in his school, cute. Still, few actually believe as he does that such a plane of existence truly exists and instead think that he just gets a little carried away with his daydreaming.
He seems to do little else but dream and doodle before his anticipated arrival to the digital world and is fairly inactive for a teenager, though he still somehow manages to maintain terrific shape. Naturally athletic, he can do better than most in a handful of sports without practice. Though he doesn’t show it often, he is very deep and rather intelligent, occasionally revealing his inner wisdom to friends and even strangers who need it. You wouldn’t know this just by looking, however, as he often seems to leap into action without any real constructive thought. Overall, he seems to almost be waiting out the days until he can go to the digital world of his dreams.
Though he seems like the lazy type, and has no problem living as such, he’s actually quite driven to adventure. He just finds most of the human world as too boring and slow paced for his taste. Growing up with continuous, vivid dreams of a fantasy world where beings of immense power exist and anything is possible will tend to dull one’s interest in what others perceive as reality. He’s always known that the digital world existed, though he didn’t have much textual information about it he was constantly bombarded by visual imagery of this second world, and has been anxious to travel there, and it would seem he’d never be truly satisfied with his life until he gets the chance to see it with his own eyes. This doesn’t imply that he completely lacks an appreciation for the human world. He loves his parents and simply adores his little sister for the trust she seems to have in him, but a part of himself seems to be missing and might only be properly filled by experiencing his dreams for himself.
Ishiki has the aura of a pure and innocent person, a quality that seems to relax and calm people in times of crisis and helps them truly take to heart his catchphrase. He has the heart of a child deep down, which allowed him to believe in the dreams he had since his youth despite the pressure of others, though he also possesses the spirit of a lion, brave and passionate, never afraid of anything or anyone when he’s doing something that he knows needs to be done. Along with all this, he always keeps in his own heart the phrase “Momentai”, knowing that no matter what happens during his adventures and life’s journey worrying and fretting about it will only make matters worse.
Opinions:
Opinion of Battle: Despite his laid-back personality, fighting seems to be one thing that Ishiki can really devote energy towards. He’s enthusiastic during friendly competition, determined in the course of a fight, and unwavering in the face of opposition. Still, he takes his tranquil attitude into combat and rarely loses his cool on the field of battle. In spite of this fighter’s spirit, he doesn’t enjoy conflict and often is found as the mediator within a group.
Opinion of Digimon: Absolutely the most amazing thing in his short life, even before he arrived in the digital world, is those strange and mystical monsters known as digimon. Since dreaming about them throughout his youth, there has been little that could shadow his interest in them, even for a short time. They’re more amazing than anything found in the human world and his fascination only further grows when he can finally travel to this second world of his dreams. He probably likes them more than people, in the general sense, though when it comes to his friends he favors his fondness equally among digimon and human alike.
Opinion of Self: If one were to ask him this question, the response they might receive would likely be close to that of “I haven’t given it much thought.” He doesn’t try to think that hard, especially about himself. For the most part, he’s content with his life and who he is. He’s lived a relatively happy life with a loving family and a number of friends to keep the times fun. Still, he always feels like he’s missing something in his life, something that’s vital in making him feel complete and truly satisfied. That’s to see the reality of his dreams, to see the second world he’s envisioned from his youth but doesn’t know its name. Until that day arrives, he might feel happy but he won’t feel fulfilled.
Strengths/Good Qualities: Ishiki Musouka is a courageous and respectable youth who’s especially kind-hearted, particularly with children and young teens in which case he naturally and seemingly unintentionally takes on a brother-like role, perhaps an instinct from caring for his little sister for so many years. His casual and informal approach to life gives him a presence of tranquility and peacefulness that seem to rub off on those around him, calming them in times of worry with his distinctive motto of “momentai”. He never loses his cool and is always a reliable person.
Weaknesses/Bad Qualities: Sometimes Ishiki Musouka can seem a little too relaxed, bordering on lazy. He can sometimes frustrate those with a lot of pent up frustration and anxiety over something when they find him so unrealistically calm and nonchalant. He also could probably be considered too trusting of people, looking for the best in others and not expecting them to fool him. When people question him about this seeming naivety he often responds with his catchphrase, “momentai”. The truth is that he can usually get out of any situation that his faith of the good in people gets him into, but if he didn’t have such an innocent perspective of others and such a casual attitude towards life he probably wouldn’t fall into those messes in the first place.
Special Abilities:
Ishiki is a whiz with rollerblades, using them as his primary form of transportation since he can’t afford to buy a car and having become so skilled with them that it borders on the supernatural. He always has them with him, because they’re actually part of the customized shoes that he wears. The twin wheels snap into the bases horizontally for casual walking. They’re better designed than the roller shoes craze because rather than being shoes converted into rollerblades, they actually started as rollerblades with the option of becoming a pair of shoes. He’s also a terrific artist, often carrying around a small sketchbook to draw all of the different digimon he sees in his dreams.
Background:
Ishiki Musouka was born into a typical, middle-class family in the city of Shibuya, Japan. His mother and father were as loving and supportive as any other family could be and his childhood was a happy one and without complaint. He went to school, just like all children start to, and quickly revealed he had a knack for bringing home good grades, even though he didn’t have to work very hard for them. The same went for athleticism; though he never tried out for any sports, he was surprisingly superb at any games he tried to get the hang of or was pushed into by friends. He also picked up on how to use rollerblades to the point that he was unnaturally skilled, many of his friends suggesting he ditch the school life and go pro, and kept it as his primary form of transportation even when he was old enough to register for a driver’s license.
Since he was little, he also remembers having a younger sister. His mother and father were good parents, but it would be a little daunting for any couple to balance their two jobs and a pair of children at the same time, so Ishiki quickly had to hit the ground running with the taking on responsibility of being an older sibling. He was actually quite adept at this task and soon became a terrific brother. He watched out for her and walked her to friends’ houses and stores and even when he began to get older he didn’t mind being seen with his younger sibling in public. He took his job as an older brother very earnestly and it was one of the few times he seemed to actually act responsibly.
While his life on the outside seemed pretty normal for the most part with nothing serious ever really impacting his life, the days in his head were quite different to be sure. Ever since he was a young child he had been having strange dreams about another world with strange inhabitants that took on a multitude of different forms. Ever since the first few dreams, he maintained the fervent belief that this place he envisioned was a reality and not just his imagination. His parents were understanding of a lot of things, but they worried about their son when he talked about this other world, though as long as he brought home good grades and didn’t get into trouble they had little to complain about. The children at school had mixed feelings about these dreams that he had no qualms speaking openly about. Some thought he was just weird and kept away from him, others thought it was a funny quirk and liked him for it, and still others ignored it entirely. His friends would regularly tease him about his obsession with the second world with light humor. In the end, the only thing all of his peers had in common concerning his beliefs was that they didn’t believe him.
He didn’t let any of this get him down, always the easy-going and laid-back type he didn’t care what anyone thought of him and no one’s opinion changed his mind or even slowed him from talking about his visions. He quickly became a daydreamer who spent most of his spare time dozing and fantasizing about this second world he could only see in his head. There were few things in his life that could compete with what he saw when he closed his eyes or dazed out looking at the clouds and he tried to bring his mind back there as often as he could. He particularly enjoyed the visions about a red dinosaur-like creature that he immediately felt a connection to from first sight and had since inhabited the majority of his dreams. When he wasn’t dozing during leisure hours he was drawing in sketch books all of the fantastic things he saw during his fantasizing, another talent he picked up on immediately and needed no real practice to get initially good at.
The only person who has truly believed him as of yet is his younger sister, probably one of the major reasons why they have such a close brother-sister relationship. Of all the people he recollects to about his dreams, his little sister gets the most attention in that regard. She’s just near heard about every marvelous vision that has passed through her older brother’s head. She trusts as much as he does that he’ll go one day to this second world and always makes sure to remind him that when he does that he’d better tell her all about it when he gets back home, to which he always answers by promising to do so when those days come.
So now he waits, passing the days absorbed by his fantasizing of another world and seeming to save himself and his vigor for the time when he’ll get to leave the world where he was born and have a chance to visit this world of his dreams. He doesn’t know when that date will be, but he knows for sure that when it comes he’ll be ready and won’t hesitate to leave on this adventure in waiting of seventeen years. He might miss his family a little while he’s gone, but there’s so much waiting for him on the other side, especially a small red dragon that he’s already bonded to before ever physically coming across.

Gigimon (In-Training)
Guilmon (Rookie)
Growlmon (Champion)
WarGrowlmon (Ultimate)
Megidramon (Mega)
Gallantmon (Mega[Biomerge])
Gallantmon (Crimson Mode)
Appearance:
Personality:
Guilmon shares a number of personality traits with his human partner, Ishiki. He’s laid-back and not easily troubled, taking a casual approach on life and not even trying to make a hassle out of his existence. He likes to cloud gaze and snooze most of the day away, very idle and sloth as he daydreams. Something else he really likes to do is eat, oftentimes stuffing his face when he’s not dozing. Despite this relatively inactive life of his, he can be found as being surprisingly fit and very strong in battle for a rookie-type digimon. Though he seems slack and lazy, he can be quite adventurous, it’s just as if he’s missing something in his life that would otherwise complete him and without it he’ll forever feel the weight of that emptiness. Despite this, he still maintains a genuinely happy attitude since from his dreams he knows what, or rather who, that something he’s missing is and realizes that he’ll meet him one day so long as he’s patient.
Also the brave and courageous individual, Guilmon might not do much for himself but he’s a caring person who watches out for those in his village. When people need his help, he temporarily gives up on his slothful nature and lends a hand, especially against bullies and thugs picking on the weak. He’s an easily liked digimon who, despite his virus-natured data, can easily make friends with those he meets, perhaps due to his own innocent, sometimes somewhat childish, nature that just makes people feel that they can trust him and his motives. He always is willing to protect others when they’re in danger and does whatever he can to uphold justice from his own personalized outlook.
Opinions:
Opinion of Battle: Guilmon doesn’t go looking to pick a fight all that often, but he’s always energetic when one finds its way to him. He’s a stellar fighter for his rookie-class and with such a hassle-free lifestyle without training or constant combat it’s a surprise to some that he’s so exceptional in a scrap. He could even be described as having a zealous passion for fighting, perhaps linked to his data-type being that of a virus, but he only lets this show when he can smell a fight on the horizon. He doesn’t just fight for himself, for the fun of the battle, but also for friends and even complete strangers. With a strong sense of justice, he especially puts his all into combat when it’s to protect others.
Opinion of Humans: Guilmon doesn’t know what to think about humans, but he’d mostly treat them as if they were digimon in strange skins, judging them by their actions and personality rather than their looks. Any leaning from this average in favor or against humans could only be positive since he’s had a connection with a human for many a number of years, before even meeting this bond brother in person. Learning about this human from his dreams, Guilmon feels closer to him than he has about anyone else in his life, so much so that a piece of him seems to be missing and might never be filled until the day he crosses paths with the human. Because of this, he tends to look at humans with a brighter perspective than he might otherwise. However, this doesn’t blind him to bad humans and he has as little problem giving them a beat down as he does to bad digimon.
Opinion of Self: Guilmon has no problem with who he is and what he’s done with his life. In fact, he’s probably never even thought about it. He’s happy that he can help other people who need his strength and ability and gladly helps them without worrying about himself, but as for things he does for himself, there isn’t much. He prefers when there’s nothing else to do and no one else asking him for help to snooze and dream about the human with whom he shares a special bond. He doesn’t feel like he’s wasting his days away doing this, since he doesn’t think he’ll ever be truly complete until the day comes when he meets this nameless human face to face one day. Until that day arrives, he’s willing to accept the less substantial variant of the feeling that he can get when he dreams.
Abilities:
Offense: By far Guilmon’s greatest parameter is his offense, capable of packing a powerful punch for a digimon in the rookie-class. His fire-type attacks and close-combat abilities can even discourage some champion-level digimon, though it’s not always enough for him to be a serious threat without tactics against opponents who would typically be out of his league. All in all, his offensive rating on a scale of one to ten caps out at a bold ten for the rookie tier.
Defense: Guilmon is very resilient and, to be quite frank, rather thickheaded. He’s not one to go down with just the first punch, no matter how much of a blow it might be. He won’t accept defeat without taking some abuse, not to mention dishing some back at his opponent, and can often outdo them in a war of attrition. He’ll shrug off a good deal of hurt to make sure he wins his fights. From a scale of one to ten, he’d rate at about an eight in the defensive parameters.
Speed: Guilmon is surprisingly fast for such a powerhouse, though the parameter isn’t particularly his strong point. He can chase down enemy digimon particularly well if they’re running in a straight line and he can sometimes catch opponents off guard with his agility and flexibility, but he’s one to rely more on his thick skull than his evasion abilities, prepared to shrug off the enemy’s faster attacks and hit them harder for it. However, that’s not to say that he can’t dodge and weave in a fight, which he can and does regularly, its just that such tactics are not what he falls back on but merely uses the most of when able. On a scaling system of one to ten, he’s around a seven.
Intellect/Wit: Guilmon is not the brightest crayon in the box, but he’s not the dullest either. Though he’s surprisingly deep at times and can certainly think of effective strategies for combat, he’ll be the first to tell you that he relies more on his brawn than his brains when it comes to a fight. He prefers to leave the planning up to his tamer and be the muscle of the group, because he knows he can pack a punch. Still, when its time to bite the bullet, he proves that his intellect is by no means dull. Sizing up his intelligence parameter on a scale of one to ten places him at around a seven.
Recuperation: Not only can Guilmon do well with taking a punch, but he can also get back up from it pretty quickly. A fast healer, he can often be back on his feet within days, even after some pretty serious scraps with enemy digimon. Still, he’s not so fast at it that he’d prefer recovery to not getting hurt at all and would rather keep himself safe with his fighting abilities than worry about healing afterwards. On a scale from one to ten, he’s approximately an eight in the recuperation parameter.
Background:
Guilmon has lived in the same village since he was transferred out of the Village of Beginnings as a Jyarimon. He quickly began to make friends, starting from the first day with the other fresh-class digimon of the village. Most digimon proved wary of him at first, due to his viral data-type, but they swiftly turned around and changed their thinking after they got a short time to get to know him, realizing his innocent and child-like personality, even as he began to digivolve into higher tiers, recognizing his kind and caring nature, and appreciating his want to help others who needed it. Guilmon was of a very generous nature, willing to help with most any task when asked. From helping his friends patch a roof to fighting off bullies, and later as he digivolved and became stronger, smalltime bandits and crooks. He rarely took compensation for his lending of a helping claw, always glad to be of aid, but he never could learn to say no to food as he had grown into rather the glutton, so those he helped would often invite him to enjoy a meal with them as silent recompense.
While fighting bullies and petty criminals, Guilmon found out that he has a real burning zeal for fighting. He was truly invigorated by combat and found it exciting. One thought was that it was the virus-type data inside him, the data that others had learned to overlook since his personality proved him to be better than the label but that might resurface somewhat during combat. Fortunately, this zeal never devoured who he was and he remains quite himself during a fight. Battles never consumed his interest, in fact he never went looking for a fight, but when one came to him it was always enjoyable for him. Even with this passion, he could at least separate the important fights with meaning behind them from the battles against friends in practice sparring matches. When he was protecting friends and even those he didn’t know from tyrannical bullies on the playground of his village school or from thugs and hooligans waiting on the outskirts of town for passersby or causing trouble on the streets he always recognized the importance of fighting for justice and against those with evil in their hearts.
Despite this helpful nature and willingness to aid and befriend others, Guilmon doesn’t seem to have much of an interest in what he wants out of life. Since he was very young, he has always been slothful when not out and about in some way assisting others, content to snooze the day away, hour by hour, minute by minute. This is because, since back when he was still a Jyarimon, he always has had dreams about a strange person who seems to have a very deep connection to him, though the dragon-type digimon never met him in person. Over time he learned that it was a human from another world, though he was no closer to knowing who the person actually was. Still, often when he slept he’d dream of this person and know that one day they would meet face to face. The reason why he had developed such a seemingly lazy personality was because deep down inside he felt like something was missing, something that could only be filled by the coming of the day when he would encounter the person he seemed to have such a bond to without even knowing the guy. He enjoyed life, but it seemed he was always saving himself for the day that that person would arrive.

He might miss his family a little while he’s gone, but there’s so much waiting for him on the other side, especially a small red dragon that he’s already bonded to before ever physically coming across.
