Alyce raised an eyebrow as she noticed the large book, but then returned to her own research, which wasn't going that well. She rested her cheek against her hand, looking back at the pencil. Suddenly the slam of a nearby door startled the girl, the pencil was sent flying off the table and to the floor. Her eyes widened that this. That was impossible, unless she somehow moved it. But it had failed earlier. Perhaps this could only happen when she was startled or frightened. Maybe it depended on how fast her heart was beating. She quickly jotted down a few theories before she was about to get up.
Alyce then sat down once more, and concentrated on the pencil, letting her arm hang down, her hand near the floor and she focus, trying to remembering being startled. It moved a bit, but took a few moments before successfully flew back into her hand. It was then that the girl remembered she wasn't alone, and she nervously looked back at Sora, praying her hadn't noticed what had just occurred.

Sora glanced up at the girl raising an eyebrow. “Don’t worry,” he said, giving her a goofy smile. “I’m used to weird things by now. I didn’t see anything…” He buried his head back in the book, ignoring his spirits screams of absolute fury.

"Please don't tell anyone," Alyce said. "I have a enough difficulty blending in already."

“Blending in?” Sora asked, raising his eyebrow for what must have been the fiftieth time that day. “Come on, can you really say you just want to be part of the crowd? I sure as hell don’t – heck, where’s the fun in that?”

"I just want to be a normal teenager," Alyce said. "With ordinary problems and no more than that."

Sora shrugged his shoulders, slamming the book shut. “Well, to each his-or her – own, I guess.” The boy closed his eyes for a second, a smirk forming on his lips. “But still, how can you be normal when we can see this bastard?”
On cue, Aros appeared before the pair, sitting cross-legged on the table. His entire body was hidden by his trench coat, and a few strands of ebony hair were just barely visible. The spirit grinned, raising a hand.
“Yo.”

The girl just barely held back a scream. "What-who...who is that?" She asked, startled.

“This would be Guraumon, or as I like to call him, Aros,” Sora said, smiling brightly.
“That’s spirit of chaos to you, little boy,” Aros grumbled back, waving an intangible hand through his charges head. “I can’t believe you made me come out here already. I mean Jesus Christ, could this at least wait until we left your school?”

"Spirit?! You mean...like a ghost or something? That's impossible," Alyce said.

“Nah, totally possible,” Sora said, leaning back in his chair and toying with his pencil. “Well, not out here in the real world, I suppose…”

"Real world? This is the only world," Alyce said, narrowing her eyes.
