Feral stood upon a tall building overlooking the city. Alongside him was a small Prussian blue creature, known as a Betamon. "So this is the Digital World?" he said aloud, asking a rhetorical question as he spoke. Haru knew better than to answer these kinds of questions, and so he was silent. Jumping down to a lower roof, Feral then gazed upon the dusty ground that formed a path.
"So this is it," he said calmly. The Tamer then glanced upon the ground, before making his landing, cloak billowing behind him. Haru nodded in response, but he still was silent. Something was amiss right now, but he couldn't place a finger on what exactly it was.

At the same time, a teenage boy was walking along the same road the other boy looked upon, his own black cloak flowing in the wind behind him. His new outfit was loose fitting and dark in coloring, perfect for staying out of sight. “What a day,” he muttered to himself, pulling down his hood and taking a deep breath of the crisp air.
He frowned and pulled out his digivice, watching the way it’s screen pulsed with that same strange symbol. “It’s been doing that ever since that spirit thing…” he muttered, remembering how the strange statue had disappeared into his D-Tector.
Shrugging his shoulders, he pocketed it and continued on, coughing as some dust found its way into his lungs.

Feral's heightened senses sensed Sora's arriving. The cloaked figure looked at his fellow cloaked human, before turning away. Something made him come here, and was it the same situation with Sora too? Haru found himself becoming lighter and lighter...until he was just particles of data. The Betamon was as of now in the Digivice. Feral turned to look at Sora, who was now coughing. "You okay?" he asked, more on the compassion side instead of friendly.

“I’m fine,” Sora said, coughing the last of the dust up and shaking his head slightly. It was only then he realized that someone was next to him, and jumped back in shock. “What the hell?” he said, startled, only to be embarrassed a few seconds later.
“Sorry,” Sora said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. “I’m Sora,” he said, holding out his hand.

"Feral," Feral replied, extending his own hand to shake with Sora. His hood was still lowered, as if holding some sort of worldly secret from Sora. "It's alright," he assured, smiling at the other teenager [?]. "So," he said, rubbing the back of his head, "what brings you here today?" The question was innocent and bore nary a hint of malice. Whether Sora bore any malice was to be questioned.

“Not much,” Sora said, jamming his hands in his pockets and fingering his D-Tector. “Just walkin’ around, exploring. Not like there’s anything better to do around this dump.” The boy raised an eyebrow, staring at the other boy with cold eyes. “What about you?”

"I came here because I wanted to," Feral responded, slightly amused at Sora's cold eyes. "Well, if you are here for that, well, it should be something to do with destiny." The Tamer then felt a vibration coming from his Digivice. Eh? he thought, finding it very, very odd.

Sora raised an eyebrow, noticing the look of shock on the other boy’s face. Still, he didn’t know what was going on, and he didn’t feel like pressing into the matter. “Destiny?” he scoffed, shrugging off his cloak and throwing it on a nearby branch, “get real. The day I believe in destiny is that day I start sticking thermometers up my ass.

Feral shrugged. But he did not want to remove his cloak despite the weather. "Well, if you choose that, one cannot blame you," he said. He then wondered what Sora's real motive was for coming here-he was quite sure that he did not come here for no reason at all. "Alright then," Feral said, before beginning to walk away.

At that instant, Sora felt his digivice begin to shake violently in his pocket, “What the hell?” he cried out, pulling it out of his pocket and noticing the static and sparks that played across its screen. “This is weird,” he mumbled, knowing the device had never done anything like this before.
A holographic compass burst into life above the device, swiveling and pointing towards an odd rock structure. “Even weirder…” he mumbled, noticing how it almost seemed to want to leap from his hand.
“Your destiny awaits you…” a smooth, feminine voice came from the object, just like the one from the train. Sora raised an eyebrow, setting his eyes on the structure in the distance.
“Eh, why not?” he said, pulling on his cloak and running towards the stone figure.

Upon seeing Sora begin to run, Feral felt curious and began to chase after him. He grinned to himself; 'your destiny awaits you', the female voice had said. If Sora did not heed destiny, why would he move after the statue? The Tamer then began to put some more speed into his running and went after Sora.

Sora poured on the speed, thanking whatever had given him his freakish agility. Within seconds, he was skidding to a halt before what could only be described as an obelisk, mysterious runs covering its sides. “Amazing,” he said in a sarcastic, flat tone of voice. “This was really worth the thirty second sprint.
He walked up to the structure and knocked on it a few times, curiously cocking his head to the side. “Fantastic. Now what am I supposed to do,” he muttered, unaware tof the light spilling out of his back pocket.

It seemed that Feral had some speed in him too. "Light," he muttered, referring to the light emitting from Sora's back pocket. He tilted his head to the side, before gazing at his pocket, which so strangely had begun to glow. "Your pocket," he said promptly, not knowing at the moment what to make of the situation.

“What now?” Sora asked, pulling out his digivice and shielding his eyes. /Staring at it was like staring into the sun – most likely hazardous to your health. “Okay, this is really getting annoying,” he muttered, standing up and remembering what had happened with Dameon’s device.
Turning around, he slammed the thing into the obelisk, watching and waiting for something to happen. Sure enough, tiny lines of light began to traverse to black stone of the structure, turning it into a giant light bulb. It flashed brightly a few times before the glow died away, along with the light from his digivice.
“Lame,” Sora muttered, pocketing the device and turning around. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t notice the panel on the construct slide open, or the brightly shining object within.
