It was dark. A single figure, cloaked in a coat of flowing silver, tread into the grounds of the cemetery. His eye swivelled around within their sockets, the grey one with the yellow core headed towards the direction to where a Prussian blue creature stood on all fours, yellow eyes staring, fixated upon a certain tombstone. Some strange writing was engraved on the tomb. Mist began gathering around the area, and surrounding the Tamer as well as the digital creature.
The human lowered his head as the mist cleared, revealing a shining moon. His right eye, the one that was red and had a black core was the only one that was blinking, while the grey one stayed rooted to its position. "Haru," he said, biting a little of his lower lip as he turned to his friend, the dust of the graveyard crunching under the weight of himself and his sandals. He sighed inaudibly, before focusing his eyes on the Betamon.

Kiara was further off from where these two were, though the mist did kind of shake her. She was there in the cemetery, sitting there in front of her parents' tombstones. She visited here at least once or twice a week, just to talk to them.. she felt they could hear her voice.
"Mom, dad.." Her eyes almost welled up a bit in tears, but she forced them not to come out. She didn't want to show weakness, despite there not being anyone around.. or were there...?

A figure slunk through the shadows cast by the tombstones. He glanced at Kiara, hearing her voice calling her parents faintly. The hood of his cloak fell forwards, covering his fringe and upper part of his face. His height wasn't too intimidating; he hadn't grew much, even though he was still undergoing a growth spurt. His parents had called him a 'late bloomer', and Winston had told him that sooner or later, at this rate, he would be towering over them given a few months' time. He leaned against one of the taller tombstones, eyes still gazing at Kiara despite feinting ignorance of her existence. Haru scuttled over to where he was, and stayed in the shadows. Even though he couldn't see her, the Betamon's refined senses helped him to locate the girl's whereabouts.

Kiara sighed a little, feeling she should be heading back home in a bit. She then closed her eyes and brought her hands together, as if she was praying.. she was. "Mom, dad.. its me.. I'm doing fine down here.. I hope you two are happy up there, and watching over me as angels.." She bit her lower lip, almost tearing up.
"I wish you two didn't have to go like that.. there's still so many things left unsaid.. I wish I could have at least said I loved you two so much, and that I was glad you were my parents.." At that point she couldn't help it, allowing tears to fall down her cheeks and hit the ground.
Her eyes were shut tightly as she gently sobbed, not feeling any presences around so feeling it was okay. Her fingers dug into the dirt a bit, and she almost felt like letting her head fall forward.. but she didn't.

Angels? Do those things exist? Feral sighed. As far as he knew, the very existence of those hallowed beings were threatened by the descending of demons. And then the girl began to sob into the ground, fingers digging into the dirt that surrounded her parents' grave. How lucky she was, having parents that turned into angels...Haru clicked his forearms together, warning Feral and stopping him from getting nostalgic. It wasn't a good way to get your defences lowered, especially if one didn't know who the opposing person was and what she or he could do to yourself. Unable to continue his show of ignorance any more, Feral turned around and gazed straight at Kiara from the middle of his eyes instead of the corners.

Around that time, two Champion level digimon began to emerge from the shadows.. Bakemon (bakamon?) from the looks of it. They were virus-type digimon who looked like ghosts, and could very well creep you out like one too. They were approaching Kiara, who didn't even notice them as her eyes were closed..

A strip of mist whipped across the cemetery, bringing up dust and sand so as to stop the Bakemon from harming Kiara. Feral wasn't interested in a battle at the moment, especially against a supernatural one like these ghosts, and neither did he want to reveal himself when all was peaceful. But this was a situation unlike another, and thus he whipped the ground with his aura in an attempt to jolt Kiara into her senses and hopefully, stop sobbing and concentrate on whatever was going to happen. Haru jumped up, landing on one of the stones and opened his mouth. Electricity, crackling and hissing, began to gather in his mouth in the form of a swirling sphere. However, Feral immediately drew back his aura, for fear about what she would think of him. Haru dug in his claws to aim at the ghost Digimon, even though they weren't that useful, for the stone had been hardened over the years of staying there.

One of the Bakemon noticed and scowled big time at the Betamon, wondering what the hell another digimon other than him and his brother were doing here. At that point Kiara whipped her head up to see what the hell was going on, shocked to see these weird creatures in front of her.. "W-What the hell?!" She quickly got up on her feet, stumbling back a bit but trying to put as much distance between her and these ghosts as possible. She had no idea what was going on, but..
She then another strange creature (Haru) having attacked one of the ghost digimon with his claws, and she figured he was trying to save her.. though it did still freaked her out. Her breathing became less intense though, when she realized she wasn't in any immediate danger.
The two Bakemon managed to 'fly'/float out of the way of the immediate attack, turning to face Haru and unleashing their Zombie Claw. Giant claws of some sort protruded from underneath their real set of arms and came shooting out at the Betamon, attempting to strike him down..

"Dengeki Biririn!" Haru stated sharply, as the globe of electrical energy within his mouth branched into six jagged beams of energy. then they focused around a centre point, before hurtling towards the claw attack heading towards him. The incoming attack negated, Haru then jumped off the stone and landed on the ground with a smash of his right claw. "Water Tower!" the Betamon cried, allowing a geyser of water to erupt from beneath the older Bakemon in order to strike him out of the air.
Feral turned his attention to Kiara. He then hurried over to her, mouth whispering, "Are you alright?" He knew that this time, it again was his bad luck that caused the Bakemon brothers to appear and attack them. There was no other explanation...or was there? If there was, it wasn't that apparent to the Tamer.

The older Bakemon was struck into the air, crying out with pain as the geyser of water sent him higher and higher. The younger one growled, sending his claw attack at Haru once more, wanting to at least injure the Betamon. he wasn't about to let his brother be attacked and hit like that..
Kiara was stunned a bit at the sight of this guy, wondering who he was. She slowly nodded her head though, not noticing her pocket glowing a bit. Her phone was actually transforming into a D-Arc.. not a D-Tector, but maybe it would change to that sometime soon?

Haru stepped back as the claw attack came towards him. He wasn't going to get hit by these Bakemon! "Dengeki Biririn!" he stated once again, before sending a quick, but weaker jolt of energy at the incoming claw attack; the geyser was forgotten just about then. Then Haru remembered it, but decided later on that the sheer force of gravity would just about take care of the older Bakemon. "Beta Slugger," Haru cried as he released the sharp orange fin on his back and launched it towards the younger Bakemon.
"Hey, your Digivice," Feral said, nodding at Kiara, right index finger pointing at the glowing pocket. In a process of automatic responses, his free left hand slid into his pocket, fingering the black and silver device. It was once a Pendulum, but now, it was a Classic Digivice, the ones found in the Adventure series. Feral then found himself wondering why on earth Kiara wasn't trying to get as far as possible from the happenings. From what he knew, people either ran from his appearance or from his partner Digimon.

Needless to say this was one of the quickest battles in the book, as the younger Bakemon was defeated. However, there seemed not to be a fractal code coming from him. He just disappeared, his digi-egg appearing where he once was before disappearing too, returning to the Village of Beginnings. Same went with the older Bakemon, who struck the ground hard. Obviously these were weak small-fry compared to the other digimon Feral and Haru could have run into..
Kiara was stunned a bit, looking at her D-Arc.. and oddly enough, she wasn't as afraid of Feral and Haru as she probably would have any other time. Maybe because he had saved her.. yeah, that had to be the reason. Why would one run from the person who saved your life? She looked up at him for a moment, unable to speak. Then, her lips began to creep open, and words escaped.. "Um.. thank you.." She said softly, all she could say as her eyes diverted once more to the digivice in her hand. Where in the world did it come from...?!

Haru raised an eyebrow. "No code?" he asked, turning to Feral, who shrugged. The Betamon then scuttled over to where his Tamer was, and grinned at Kiara. The Prussian blue creature then blinked as he noticed the glow emanating from the girl's pocket. Haru turned to Feral, narrowing the skin above his eyes (as he didn't have eyebrows) and gesturing towards the device that was changing within Kiara's pocket.
"Welcome," Feral responded casually, as if the fight was easy enough. Apparently he had a certain degree of confidence with Haru. "Did you have a cell phone, game console, or Tamagotchi with you?" he asked the girl, "The thing in your hands originally came from that." The Tamer glanced at her through his fringe and hood. Why didn't she run, now that the battle was over? He couldn't fathom the reason behind it.
